What we collect

• Event/contest data: RSVPs, waitlists, attendance, entries, eligibility confirmations, skill-testing question responses.

• Usage & device data: pages viewed, links clicked, general location, device/browser info, cookies; aggregated analytics.

• Media: photos/video captured at events (see our Terms).

 

Why we collect it (lawful purposes)

• To run our site, manage RSVPs/waitlists, host events, operate contests and giveaways, communicate updates, personalize content, prevent fraud/abuse, and comply with legal requirements.

 

Consent & CASL

 

By submitting a form or opting in, you consent to our collection and use for the purposes above. You can withdraw marketing consent at any time using unsubscribe links or by contacting us; we may still send essential transactional messages (e.g., event confirmations).

 

Sharing

 

We may share personal information with service providers (e.g., email, ticketing, analytics, cloud hosting) under contracts that require confidentiality and limit use to our instructions; with venues for operational/safety reasons; and as required by law. We do not sell your personal information.

 

International transfers

 

Some service providers may process data outside Canada. We use contractual, technical, and organizational safeguards; foreign laws may allow access by courts or authorities.

 

Ownership of Data and Information

F1inTO is a brand and event series operated by Culture Cartel Inc., an Ontario corporation carrying on business as Culture Cartel Live (referred to in this policy as "Culture Cartel"). Culture Cartel is the sole owner, controller, and processor of all information collected through this website, the F1inTO mobile application at go.f1into.ca, any F1inTO-branded social media account, any F1inTO event, and any associated marketing, ticketing, or partner platform. This includes, without limitation: personal information of subscribers and customers, email addresses, mailing lists, subscriber preferences, contact details, demographic information, transaction and ticketing records, customer relationship records, sponsor and partner data, analytics data, behavioural data, content uploaded or submitted by users, and all derivative data generated from any of the foregoing. All such data is collected, held, and processed for and on behalf of Culture Cartel Inc. exclusively. No other individual, partnership, contractor, volunteer, or affiliated party has any ownership interest, license, beneficial right, or future claim to any data described above, regardless of any role they may play or have played in the operation of F1inTO. Culture Cartel Inc. is the data controller for all purposes under the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) and applicable Canadian privacy law.

Retention

 

We keep personal information only as long as necessary for the purposes above or as required by law, then delete or de-identify it. Typical ranges: marketing contacts until you unsubscribe or become inactive; event/contest records for up to 5 years unless law requires longer.

 

Your rights

 

You may request access to, or correction of, your personal information. To exercise rights or make a complaint, contact our Privacy Officer. You may also contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada regarding unresolved concerns.

 

Security

 

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards appropriate to the sensitivity of the data. No system is perfectly secure.

We use cookies and similar technologies to operate the site and understand usage (e.g., page performance, aggregate engagement). You can manage cookies in your browser settings; disabling some cookies may affect functionality.

 

Minors

 

Our services are intended for adults. Where minors attend family-friendly events, a parent/guardian must register and provide any personal information.
